Our History

Our very first event

DEEP BREW was born on Sunday, 15th June 2014

Let’s talk about how we started DEEP BREW. We wanted to give the youth of Port Elizabeth an experience like no other. Bringing together a diverse set of cultures through music, art and entertainment.

The very first event was hosted at a venue called Brazen Head, now known as La Coco. The venue had a rich history of events (some good, some not) but most importantly it had the facilities we needed to make our vision come to life.

The event was a huge success and the name DEEP BREW was stuck on everyone’s tongue.

This set the tone for the future of the brand.

The Move to Roof Garden Bar

On Sunday, 6th December 2015 we had found a new location for the brand

As the brand developed it had the desire to break away from the younger party-goers and move towards a more mature market.

That’s when we found the venue which would become its home for the next 7 years, Roof Garden Bar.

It was incredibly difficult to develop an over 21’s event brand in Port Elizabeth as the custom had died some years ago, but we didn’t give up. We had a vision for the brand and nothing was going to change that.

Fast forward to 2022

Today, we sell out as soon as tickets go on sale. We have the most amazing, loyal supporters that anyone could ask for. We bring the music, they bring the vibe.

You want to be seen at our event, and that’s why we have hand selected only the best of Port Elizabeth’s photographers to capture you in your Sunday best.

If you don’t believe us just check out our albums.

Breaking National Borders

With the increase in popularity on a national scale we have decided to start branching out and showcasing the brand in the 3 other major cities of South Africa – CPT, JHB and DBN.

We started our first National Sunday Tradition at the beautiful Radisson Red in heart of Cape Town’s City Center.

It has been a phenomenal journey, we can’t wait to see what our future holds with all of you.
